"Let There Be Light" invites contemporary dance to be accented by hip-hop representing a journey from social isolation and loss of agency to connection, healing, and hope.
The project also served as an advocacy platform by raising funds for GenerateHope, a not-for-profit organization that provides long-term restorative care to women survivors of sex trafficking. The piece was created in a non–explicit way where the concepts were depicted abstractly. It was done in an artistic sense allowing the audience to find hope and beauty within the story and movement.
