Contemplative Movement

This is an experimental piece founded upon Henrietta Lacks and the human rights issue that arose when her cancer cells were illegally taken. The piece has a voice-over spoken by myself accompanying two dancers. The voice-over is a culmination of spoken-word that I have written over the years. Before each spoken word piece there is a quote projected for context along with the title of the spoken word. The dancers are performing rehearsed improvisation dance and are meaningful to one another.
